Eric Coates is the President of Detailed Home Inspections Inc. and has been inspecting homes since 1997 under Home Inspector license #722. Eric is actively involved in the Home Inspection community. He teaches courses through Inspection Certification Associates. Eric teaches continuing education courses for NC licensed home inspectors, pre-licensing education courses for future NC licensed home inspectors and teaches a course on how to Pass The Test for people preparing to take the NC home inspector licensing exam. 

 

Eric is a native of Willow Spring, NC in Johnston County and currently lives in Willow Spring with his wife, Tammy.

Eric has served on the board of the North Carolina Licensed Home Inspector Association for many years. He started in leadership of NCLHIA by being the Vice President and President of the Triangle Chapter. Eric also served in all four positions (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) on the NCLHIA State Board. Eric is the current Executive Director of NCLHIA. In this state-wide leadership role, Eric is uniquely able to participate in policy and legal proceedings that affect the home inspection industry and the families and professionals it serves. Eric is also exposed to best practices and current issues from across North Carolina. He is able to put this leadership experience and working knowledge to use in his management of Detailed Home Inspections Inc.

 

Eric and Detailed Home Inspections are proud to serve the Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas both as a dedicated home inspection organization and as an industry leader. Since 1997, Detailed Home Inspections Inc. has performed home inspections and framing/pre-drywall inspections. DHI has cultivated professional relationships with trusted subcontracted professionals to conduct radon gas tests, septic inspections, termite inspections, and well inspections.
